Mary I just wanted to say thank you for the podcasts you create and share freely. I started listening at bedtime about 6 months ago after being diagnosed with RA and having trouble falling asleep. I can truly say it has helped me fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly. In fact, I notice a general improved mood after listening the night before.
Mostly though, I wanted to tell you how your voice and words have been helping my 10 yr old son sleep better. He has Tourette Syndrome and has great difficulty at times winding down and getting to sleep. I played the episode for children for him and he immediately became absorbed and drifted off to sleep in only minutes. He requests your podcasts over any other. I sincerely appreciate how much your podcasts have helped us both. I look forward to new episodes and would love to see more for children.

Nina, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. You are so welcome. It’s so fulfilling to know the podcast has been helping you and your son. We’ve heard from a number of people that their children respond well to our meditations, even ones originally intended for adults. This has inspired us and our hope now is to create a special app for children. If you have an Apple or Android smartphone, you would be able to use it. Also, our free Take a Break app has been used by children with problems.

Rosalie, there was some site maintenance going on which may have interfered. Please let us know if you are still having trouble and which meditations you are unable to access.

I have bought your app meditationoasis can you reccomend any meditation for tinnitus or to quieten the mind.

  10. Mary on March 22nd, 2014 3:50 pm

David, many of the meditations can help with quieting the mind, especially ones like Simply Being, Letting Go, Effortless Meditation. As for tinnitus, you could listen to the Beyond Pain meditation and substitute “tinnitus” when I refer to pain. Let the tinnitus be the pain the meditation refers to. You can also let the distress about the tinnitus be the pain…

I voluteer with a group of ladies in a recovery program and do morning meditation with them. Lately I have been talking on gratitude with them. — gratitude is so important to any healing process. Would I be able to use your graditue meditation with them? What is your permission process?

  12. Mary on October 28th, 2015 9:39 am

Catherine, you are welcome to play the meditation for the group. We’d appreciate your sharing the source of the meditation. Let us know how it goes!
