Problems Purchasing or Downloading Apps
If you are having problems purchasing or downloading an app, you need to get help from Apple support.

6/21/2014 – Version 7.0 problem –7.1 Update with bug fix now available in App Store.

Version 7.1There are still 3 guided meditations on the app. To choose between them, tap on the meditation name appearing on the screen. Same with the background music or nature sounds — tap to see choices and select the one you prefer.

The App Isn’t Working — the audios don’t play, I can’t hear the audios, there is no sound:

Sometimes people don’t hear the audio when they try to play it because the volume on either their iPhone/iPod/iPad or the app itself is not turned up high enough. Please check the following:

1 – Please make sure the volume on the app is turned up high enough. The volume for the voice, music and nature sounds is controlled by volume sliders (the far right position being the loudest).

2 – Check that the volume on your device is high enough.

3 – Check that your earphones/earbuds are plugged in all the way.

If you have checked these things and still have a problem, please see the General Tips below.

General Tips

If you are having difficulty with any of our Apps, please try the following:

1. Redownload the App –  Please try re-downloading the app using the following instructions:

a – Delete the app. (Put your finger on the icon for the app and hold it there until the apps wiggle on the screen. Touch the X on the app to delete it. Confirm you want it deleted when dialogue box appears).

b – Go into the app store. Tap on the Purchased tab at the bottom of the page. You should see the app. There should be a “cloud” icon with an arrow in it. Tap on that. It should then download the app again.

2. Make sure you have the latest IOS software on your device. You can download the latest software at this link — http://www.apple.com/ios/

3. Make sure you have the latest update of our App. You can check if an update is available by using the Update icon on your device.

If you still have a problem or questions, you can email us at the address below. Please give us some detail about how you try to use the app and what happens so that we can troubleshoot the problem for you.

    Your relax and rest app. is no longer working. The first time it worked fine. The second the audio was slow in starting. Now there is no audio either text or music on any of the programs. I have volume at max. What’s up?

    Bonnie, It’s possible the app got corrupted in the download process. Try deleting it and downloading it again. Here’s the link on iTunes about how to re-download an app.

    Make sure to allow the app to download completely. If you still have a problem after doing this, let us know!

    I tried several times to download this app for my iPad and could not, will it be back for me download soon?

    Patsy, sorry you are having trouble downloading the app. It is still in the iTunes store and so you should be able to redownload it. Use this link to read Apple’s support page on redownloading an app: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.

    Please allow enough time to make sure it downloads completely.

    Instead of playing the meditation music and script, the app plays the most recent song from iTunes. What is going on?

    Is this the first time you’ve tried to use the App? Is this still happening when you try to listen to the meditations on the App? If so, please describe exactly what you do with the App (which buttons you tap and so on) before this happens.

    Gillian, please make sure that the volume slider for the sound isn’t all the way to the left (which would turn it off) and also that the volume on your phone isn’t too low. To play the audio, you have to tap the Play Button (this should then appear as a Pause Button so you know you’ve started it playing). If you do these things and still don’t hear the sound, try re-downloading the app again, making sure to wait long enough for it to download completely. If you are still having a problem after these steps, please let us know.

    I purchased this app about two months ago for my iPad and have been using it since then. I love it. However, since about a week, the audio is not working properly; I came here for support and realised I’m not the only one experiencing the inconvenience. I read the other posts and followed the advice given to the other users. I have successfully re-downloaded the app, but the audio still won’t work. Please, I urge you to do something about it because the last answer you gave to Gillian sounds rather patronising. Thanks.

    Hi Jo, the app works just fine when tested on our iPad, has passed the Apple testing process, and has been downloaded by thousands of people, with only a few people contacting us reporting problems with the audio. Therefore, we have to assume that problems with the audio have to do with the person’s device, a problem with downloading or how they are using the app. (Some people are very new to iPad and apps, for example, and sometimes very basic explanations are needed.) In your case, you clearly know how to use the app as you were using it before, so we need to look further into what the problem could be.

    Do you have the latest update of the app? (If so, it will have a choice of nature sounds as well as music for the background of the meditation.) Please describe in more detail what the problem is when you say the “audio won’t work properly”.

    I downloaded your app yesterday and it worked beautifully. Today however I had an Incoming call and a couple of other interruptions. Each time I went back into the app it would start another meditation as well as continue playing the last one. There are now about six women trying to all talk over one another … Not very relaxing…lol. Can you help with this? Thanks.

    Hi Jamie, Sorry about this! We have just submitted an update that should solve this problem. Usually it takes a couple days for the update to appear, but look for it in the next few days.

    In the meantime, you can redownload the app and that should undo the current problem. Then, if you stop the meditation with the pause button before leaving the app, this will not happen when you open the app again. We understand, however, that if it is interrupted by a phone call, the app will just close on its own.

    Downloaded this app twice and still no sound. It asks to download the audio file and still nothing happens. Looks like a nice app to have, but for a relaxation app it’s just the opposite…annoying.

    Love this app! I use it frequently. I have the Relax & Rest as well as the Simply Being one. What music do you use? I am looking for album(s) that are similar in music style, but not sure where to look.

    Shawn, we’re so pleased you are enjoying the app. The music is by Richard Maddux (the voice is mine, and the music Richard’s). There is another app which is music alone — Attunement — Music to Upgrade Your Life and we have two albums of Richard’s music — Pure Light and Sleep Oasis. The albums are available in our online Shop as mp3 downloads, and also on iTunes.

    Paid for the app on my iphone today. When I search for the App, it says that the App is installed but it is not showing on my iphone. Please help or I need a refund.
