This was the first of your meditations I discovered around a month ago (I am new to meditation) and I have been listening to one a day since. I just love how completely I can relax, let go, just be when listening to your voice and the meditations. I have been trying hard to deal with post natal depression and two crazy beautiful little children and your podcasts are truly helping me. Thank you.

Good question, Karen. There's no cut and dry answer for that. It depends on the kind of meditation you're doing, for one thing. Some kinds of meditation require alertness and if you are really exhausted, it may be a strain to try to do them. The best thing is to listen to what your body and spirit are asking for!

This meditation really helped me sleep and may use it again tonight. Sleep is so precious and I've been having trouble forming regular patterns since I started a new self-employed phase of my career.

I wanted to ask you Mary, when you know you are physically exhausted and you have a brief break in the day, do you think it's better to meditate to clear your mind and spirit, or just get the physical rest you need with a cat nap?

Thanks,
Karen

Mary,

I am an incredibly busy 16 yr old and suffer constant headaches, causing trouble with concentrating and sleeping. However, since discovering your meditations on iTunes, I have relief from the constant pain and the stress is momentarily lifted. I find it much easier to relax and 'be'.

Thank you so much - I'm going through important exams at the moment and the podcasts are definitely helping me.

Namasté,
Kirsten-Rose

I just had to share. Last night, I introduced meditation to my boyfriend with this podcast. He really enjoyed it. About two minutes into the meditation, as we were just settling down into our mats, our dog heaved a big sigh and burped like a human being. We both giggled until it hurt. It made me appreciate our dog, how he lives in the moment, and how he reminds us to be not so serious -- and relax!
